WooCommerce Blocks 11.7.0 Release Notes

From the Woo Developer Blog

“The latest version of WooCommerce Blocks, version 11.7.0, is now available for download on WordPress.org and GitHub.”

Keep in mind that this is the last major release of WooCommerce Blocks as in the future it will be part of the WooCommerce Monorepo. You can read more about it and how it might impact you in the developer advisory: “WooCommerce Blocks Merging into the WooCommerce Monorepo“.

The WooCommerce Legacy REST API extension is now available

From the Woo Developer Blog

“Two months ago we announced that the Legacy REST API will be removed from WooCommerce as of version 9.0. However, for those who have not been able to transition to the more modern REST API based on the WordPress JSON API, we have created an extension which allows you to continue using the WooCommerce Legacy REST API, even after deprecation. The extension is now available as a release in a dedicated GitHub repository.

WooCommerce Blocks Merging into the WooCommerce Monorepo

From the Woo Developer Blog

“You may recall our merger of WooCommerce Admin into the monorepo in March 2022. Since then, we’ve been hard at work iterating and implementing improvements to fully realize the benefits of a monorepo. This includes the introduction of tools, automations, and additional plugins such as the Beta Tester and the new WooCommerce Docs plugin meant to support our initiative to centralize docs. We’ve also initiated a push to make the monorepo the central source of truth for all developer documentation. Given the success of the previous merge, we are now ready to take the next step by merging WooCommerce Blocks into WooCommerce Core.”
